Refund and Returns Policy


  • Refund and Returns Policy of Creative Woodworx (Pty) Ltd are as follows:
  • Custom made items once ordered ARE Not refundable as we manufacture custom once off items to suit you, if an item is faulty or there is an error on our part with regards to specification etc, we will repair the item if still under warranty
  • We only accept returns & refunds on STANDARD STOCK ITEMS & should these items fail to meet your reasonable expectations within 7 days from delivery/receipt we will refund the purchase price on return
    of goods – provided they are in the condition in which they were receive – RETURN delivery costs will be for the customers expense.
  • According to the ECT Act, the consumer has a “cooling off period” of 7 days which allows the consumer a general right to return or cancel the transaction without penalty; however, the online shopper would still be liable for the cost of returning the goods if they were dispatched/shipped within the 7 days. The cost will be the dispatch/delivery fee for delivery of the initial order and a return fee which is equivalent to the delivery charge in your area and any handling fees. These will be deducted from the refund. This does not apply if the products have been assembled, partly assembled, or where the original packaging has been discarded
  • Our furniture & woodwork & upholstery items comes with a 1 year warranty on workmanship, initial wood defects & fittings supplied by us and does not include neglect or normal wear & tear or damage either directly or indirectly or as a consequence of storms, flooding, fires, any acts of nature, vandalism, negligence or accidents
  • Our repair, restoration & reupholstery division works comes with a 3 month warranty on defective workmanship, does not apply if this item is in too bad shape to last this long as it is probably too old or worn out
  • Delivery timelines vary according to the type of item & will be specified when you make an inquiry or place an order
  • Natural / Veneered / Solid timber can get fine cracks during time & this is nature & is out of our hands.
  • Colours of products might vary slightly due to change in batches / natural timber grain & colours variations as well as what you see on a computer / cell phone screen or printed on paper is not 100% same as real life.
  • All furniture supplied or fitted on site is solely owned by CWW until FULLY paid for.
  • If you require an amendment or change to your product whilst we are in the process of manufacturing it, please contact us immediately to check if it is possible to make this change at no charge or if it would incur an additional charge
  • If you are unhappy with your custom purchase, please contact us directly, maybe we could help you sell it or for an additional charge modify it or upgrade it
  • If you paid for the products to be assembled, assembled items cannot be returned.
  • Quality control inspection can take up to 3 working days once your product arrives back at our premises.
  • Refunds can take up to 7 working days to process & an additional 5 working days to reflect in your (the customer’s) bank account.
  • When a product is delivered damaged: You have the right to refuse delivery of any product that is visibly damaged upon delivery. Please stipulate clearly that you have not received the goods with a brief description of the damage on the delivery note. The driver/delivery company will take the product/s back with them and return them to Creative Woodworx (Pty) Ltd . Please contact us immediately to report this.
  • Damage after delivery: If damage to a product/s only becomes apparent after delivery, you have 48 hours to report the damage to Creative Woodworx. In these instances, the return/replacement of the product is at the discretion of Creative Woodworx. We are entitled to request images of the damaged products before the collection of the products. Creative Woodworx will always endeavor to solve problems with damaged items as speedily as possible.
  • If damage is reported after 48 hours, it is reasonable for Creative Woodworx to determine that damage was caused post-delivery.
  • If the original packaging has been discarded it is your (the customer’s) responsibility to ensure that goods are reasonably packaged and protected before being returned. Damages that occur as a result of absent or insufficient packaging/protection will carry additional charges that the customer will be liable for at Creative Woodworx discretion
